Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Degree Apprenticeship
The Digital and Technology Solutions Professional (DTSP) Degree Apprenticeship is delivered by Coventry University: The Nationwide Apprenticeship University.
The DTSP Degree Apprenticeship allows employers to develop confident, competent and capable independent Technology Solutions Professionals able to operate in a range of related roles, developing new products and services, and increasing productivity using digital technologies.
A DTSP provides technology enabled solutions to internal and/or external customers in a range of areas including software, business and systems analysis, cyber security, data analysis and network infrastructure.
Typical job titles for a DTSP are: Software Developer, Software Engineer, Software Tester, Application Specialist, Business Analyst, IT Project Manager, IT Consultant, Network Engineer, Cyber Security Analyst, Database Specialist, Data Analyst, Digital Media Technology Practitioner, Systems Designer.
On successful completion of the three year programme, apprentices will be awarded a BSc (Honours) Degree in Digital and Technology Solutions from Coventry University. The programme is equally suitable for new employees and existing members of staff.
There is no age limit.

Programme Content & Delivery
Course delivery is in 10 modules over three years: four in each of the first and second years, and two double modules in the final year. For the first two years, three modules are delivered following the same pattern: one day a week of teaching in two blocks of four weeks with a one -week break between them for each of the modules beginning in January, March and October, and a five-week break between teaching blocks in the summer module, which starts in June.
The third year is spent on two distinct projects that reflect the apprentice’s chosen specialism. There are no formal teaching sessions in the final year; instead the tutors arrange one-to-one coaching and mentoring sessions to support apprentices as they complete their projects.

Software Engineer, IT Consultant, Business Analyst*, Cyber Security Analyst*, Data Analyst*, Network Engineer
*These require apprentices to undertake substantial projects in the final year which demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for the particular specialism.

Entry Requirements
Three A levels, including maths, although it may be possible to accept other relevant qualifications and/or substantial work experience.
