The Midlands Young Professionals awards ceremony, hosted by Midlands Business Insider magazine, recognises and celebrates young business talent (aged 35 and under) in a variety of sectors, ranging from finance to media and marketing.
At this year’s awards, Coventry University were proud to sponsor Young Digital and Tech Professional of the Year, with Paul Fairburn, the university’s Director of Innovation, presenting to winner Ben Ward, Co-founder of revision resource platform, StudyStash. Paul said:

Coventry University is proud to support aspiring entrepreneurs and has a dedicated business development team offering a wide range of services and bespoke business solutions for small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
Services that the university provides include gaining access to grants and funding, support for companies that are looking to take steps into international markets, innovation management support, providing help developing business ideas and taking new products and services into new markets, delivering tailored workshops and much more.
An example of a programme that is aiming to help supercharge UK social ventures, is the ImpactU project. The university is one of a number of institutions involved in the programme which supports aspiring entrepreneurs to launch impactful social ventures. Led by The University of Oxford and the London School of Economics and Political Science, the project recognises the important role universities can play in supporting developing businesses focused on driving social change.
