I-UEN

The iUEN Open Innovation Programme is a European Regional Development Fund-supported initiative devised to match up the innovative ideas of SMEs with the corporate might of larger organisations to bring benefits to both parties – and to the local economy.

The iUEN is an exclusive FREE programme of support for West Midlands growth orientated businesses who are interested in exploring, creating, developing and implementing new business opportunities through collaboration and open innovation principles.  It provides SMEs with the opportunity to develop new business opportunities and relationships with larger organisations for the commercialisation of new ideas and successful collaborations.

The IAE and iUEN project were handpicked from a pool of the best in British creativity and entrepreneurship in March 2013 to exhibit at the Innovate UK Conference in London where they shared their latest business support package – an estimated 4,000 UK and international visitors attended.  Successful partnerships were forged with BT Health, Britvic Soft Drinks, Ericsson and 100% Open who are all now partners on the project.

The IAE are looking to support over 600 SME’s from across the West Midlands who are interested in developing a culture of open innovation within their organisations and developing the open innovation skills to allow them to successfully grow and increase their revenue.
