Dr Gill Ward (HDTI) and Maggie Winchcombe (Years Ahead) attended the College of Occupational Therapists conference in Glasgow on 18-20 June 2013. They presented the work of COMODAL at an interactive poster session, and ran two workshops with Boots.
Simon Fielden (HDTI) and Dr Gill Ward (HDTI) presented the findings of the COMODAL project at the NAIDEX national exhibition, in Birmingham on 30 Apr 2013.
Professor Andree Woodcock (Coventry University) gave a presentation entitled “Younger older consumers and assistive technology products” at the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors conference, in Cambridge on 15-18 Apr 2013.

The findings about consumer preferences and the assisted living market were presented to representatives from the Industry Advisory Group at two workshops in Coventry and London, in December 2012.
Dr Gill Ward (HDTI) and Maggie Winchcombe (Years Ahead) presented a paper entitled “Creating a Consumer Market for Assistive Technologies: Can we afford not to?” at the RAate conference, in Coventry on 26th Nov 2012.
Dr Gill Ward (HDTI) took part in a radio interview on Age UK “The Wireless” radio station on 14th November 2012 about the use of Telecare and how this can support people to live independently at home. Insights from the COMODAL project were used to evidence the need for awareness raising within a consumer market.
The COMODAL project occupied a space at the TSB stand at the Ambient Assisted Living (AAT) Forum in Eindhoven on 24th-27th September 2012. The stand space and delegate pass was funded by the HealthTech and Medicines Knowledge Transfer Network.
Initial results from the COMODAL project were presented by Professor Andree Woodcock (Coventry University) at the Age UK Inclusive Design Workshop, in London on 20th September 2012.
The COMODAL project was represented at the TSB stand at the Meet the Buyers event, in Aylesbury on 14th September 2012. The event is organised by SETHA and provides a forum for buyers of telehealth and telecare services and systems to learn more about the innovative technologies that are available or in development.
