Course Dates:
- Tuesday and Wednesday 7th and 8th February 2023 ( Spring Module )
Start time is 9.00 and finish is 16:30 on both days.
The day will address common issues relevant to blood testing such as:
- Spinal, upper limb, lower limb
- Requesting and looking at X‐rays and MRIs
- Overview of other imaging techniques – CT, isotopic bone scan etc
- Case study based teaching, orientation, normal, normal variants, pathological images
- Lectures by experienced/specialised ESPs
NB–this course does not replace your local IR (ME) R training
Who should attend?
The course is aimed at Advanced Practice Physiotherapists, ESPs, FCPS, Osteopaths, Nurses, Podiatrists and Health Care Practitioners working in musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and rheumatology fields.
Tutors
Chris Mercer ‐ a Consultant Physiotherapist for Western Sussex Hospitals NHS trust. Chris is the clinical lead for the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Spinal Triage clinic as well as being the research and audit lead for therapies.
Jess Gent ‐ a lower limb advanced physiotherapy practitioner working for Solent NHS trust. Jess is a highly experienced and specialist clinician, specialising in complex lower limb musculoskeletal rehabilitation. She is Master’s trained and has extensive experience in teaching at a Master’s level.
Cathy Barrett ‐ a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist, specialising in complex upper limb disorders. Cathy has an extensive background working in the NHS, Sporting and private sectors. She has a specialist interest in shoulder pain, dysfunction and instability and is a published researcher. Cathy currently works for Central Health Physiotherapy.
Fee
£300.00 per delegate, which includes workshop resource pack and a CPD course certificate.
