CU Coventry, part of the wider Coventry University Group, has become the latest Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Chartered Manager Assessment Centre - joining a select group of just 8 other UK universities.
Recognition as a Chartered Manager Assessment Centre builds on the University’s status as a CMI Approved Centre and will allow CU Coventry to both deliver and assess CMI qualifications and the Chartered Manager award and recognise professional practice.
CU Coventry has an excellent professional relationship with the CMI. Our degree courses within Business have the CMI professional accreditation embedded into the curriculum. The University also provides the opportunity for all students studying the CMDA Apprenticeship programme to achieve Chartered Manager status upon completion of their qualification.
We have a number of academic managers with extensive business acumen who have been recognised as Chartered Managers by CMI. This latest achievement seeks to build on this relationship, but also establishes a centre in the West Midlands for industry professionals to pursue individual assessment and professional recognition. We couldn’t be more delighted to be endorsed by CMI for our expertise in this field of work.
Jackie Whitehouse, Head of Academic Studies at CU Coventry
CMI is delighted to announce that CU Coventry, part of the wider Coventry University group, has been approved as a CMI Chartered Manager Assessment Centre. This is worthy recognition of all the excellent work undertaken by the team at Coventry in recent months.
Approval as an Assessment Centre means that CU Coventry is firmly established as “one shop stop” and centre of excellence for high quality management and leadership development.
Today’s announcement is great news for Coventry, for students and for businesses across the West Midlands.
Keith Richardson, Director of Partnership Development at CMI
