CU Coventry Early Years Conference is a platform for learning, networking and inspiration.
It will also be an opportunity for CU Coventry to raise awareness of the new HND Early Childhood Education and Care (Leadership and Management) qualification (HTQ). This event is suitable for individuals looking to gain practical, skills-based training and education. If you are an early year’s leader, manager, practitioner, childminder, nanny or a student, this event is for you.
The conference will be an enriching and insightful event bringing together educators and early years professionals who are dedicated to the well-being and development of young children. There will be a diverse range of sessions covering the following topics:
- Why play matters
- Research informed practice
- Developmentally appropriate practice
- Anti-racism in the early years
- Unconscious bias
- Schemas
- Outdoor play
- Mindfulness
- Play therapy
- Removing barriers to learning.
Renowned experts in the field such as Ruth Swailes and Schemaplay, amongst others, will impart their knowledge, providing valuable insights into creating a supportive environment for young learners. You will also have the opportunity to learn from the founder of the exceptional local outdoor nursery 'Beatle Woods,' as they share best practices through an interactive outdoor workshop. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
