Adults wanting to get back into education can now enrol on a free online course and gain virtual face to face help and advice.
CU London, part of the Coventry University Group, is giving adults the opportunity to find out more about higher education before making a commitment by holding its very first Connect course online.
Connect will provide participants with information on how to progress to higher education and the skills needed to succeed, covering topics such as the benefits of higher education, fees and funding options as well as study skills.
They will also be able to find out more about CU London’s flexible learning offer, which enables students complete their degree around work, family and other life commitments.
Sessions will be delivered through Microsoft Teams where participants will be able to watch presentations before taking part in activities, discussions, and question and answer sessions, gaining the knowledge they need to make informed choices about higher education.
Student ambassadors will also be on-hand to chat about their experiences and answer any questions.
As well as delivering sessions using Microsoft Teams, other online platforms will be used to aid participants to engage with staff, ambassadors and their peers as well as accessing useful resources.
The course will begin on Tuesday 5 May and feature four sessions, each lasting one-and-a-half hours, taking place over two weeks.
The Connect course is an excellent way for adults to find out more about going into higher education and what steps they need to take.
Our online course is designed to be as interactive as possible, not just providing information, but creating an environment where learners are able discuss areas relevant to their own educational journey and getting to know them too.
