Start dates
We understand a September start doesn’t suit everyone, which is why we offer course intakes throughout the year, along with block structure teaching so you will only study one module at a time.
Block Learning
CU delivers your learning in blocks, usually lasting six weeks. You’ll study a single topic (or ‘module’) in each block, worth 30 credits. When each module is successfully completed and the coursework produced is formally assessed, you will begin the next block and the next module. Full-time students normally study four blocks per year. Each block will require you to successfully complete 300 hours of study commitment, with 120 of those hours completed at your campus location participating in learning activities.
Full-time
Full-time students take four modules each year providing 120 credits per stage. A full-time academic year represents a single stage. At CU London, full-time courses are taught two full days a week.
360 credits are needed for a full Honours degree, an HND requires 240 credits and an HNC requires 120 credits. Full-time students have a choice of six entry points in September, November, January, February/March, April and June.
If you are considering studying a Foundation year, HNC, HND or Degree course on a full-time basis we offer multiple intakes throughout the academic year.
