Decisions regarding CU's teaching and learning strategy are governed by the University's committee structure. 

Academic Board

The Academic Board is responsible for the development and oversight of the academic work of the University Group, including CU.

Quality in Teaching and Learning Committee 

The University’s Quality in Learning and Teaching Committee is responsible to the Academic Board for:

  • keeping under review and enhancing the standards and quality of the academic work of the University;
  • keeping under review the processes of validation, approval, monitoring, evaluation, and periodic review of courses;
  • reporting and presenting recommendations to the Academic Board on policy issues and other matters significantly affecting the student experience and the enhancement of teaching, learning, assessment and academic standards across the University Group.

The Coventry University Students’ Union coordinates the student rep system which provides students with the opportunity to comment on their course, modules or experience with the University.
