CU Scarborough commemorated their partnership with Wyke College Hull by presenting them with a plaque. It will be displayed in the teaching space where CU Scarborough is teaching Level 4 Health & Social Care from September 2018.
The course, which is the equivalent to the first year of a degree, is being taught from Hull and successful students will receive a HNC qualification from Coventry University. The level four HNC course in Health & Social Care, is open to anyone with a minimum of five GCSEs as well as significant experience working in a caring profession or a level three Health & Social Care qualification, such as a BTEC.
Course tutor Emily Harrison said the part-time health course had been very successful in Scarborough this year and she hoped it would work well in Hull.
We are thrilled to be partnering with Wyke Sixth Form College in Hull, especially with the growing demand in this sector,” said Emily.
The course provides an in-depth look at all aspects of health and social care, providing students with an insight into safe and effective practice.
There are four areas of study and it would be ideal for someone who wants to work in the industry or use it to progress into further academic studies.
People can sign-up for the course now via the Wyke Sixth Form College website.

A drop-in even is being held at Wyke Sixth Form College on Tuesday 6 February from 5.30pm to 7.30pm for those wanting to find out more.
Wyke Sixth Form College opened in 1988 in west Hull. It is one of the largest A Level providers in Hull and East Riding. Thanks to the partnership with CU Scarborough, the college will see the first higher education courses delivered there from early October.
