Demystifying the New Normal for Entrepreneurship in Sub-Saharan Africa

A need exists for renewed thinking on how enterprise and entrepreneurship can support socio-economic development in Sub-Saharan Africa. Since the advent of Covid-19, there has been continual reference to the ‘new norm’. It is used as a positive (e.g. developing new ways of operating) and as excuses (e.g. reason for failure). As some of the implications for entrepreneurship start to become clearer, the time is right to reflect on what this ‘new norm’ is and how that term can be unpacked and investigated for Sub-Saharan Africa. 

In this hour-long event, Professor Gideon Maas (Executive Director of ICTE, Coventry, UK), will be joined by Associate Professor Sunday Adebisi (Associate Professor of Business Administration), Daniel Agyapong (Associate Professor of Finance and Entrepreneurship, University of Cape Coast Ghana), Miranda Hosking (Director of the Entrepreneurship Development Academy (EDA) at the University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) and Vumile Mswell (CFP/ CEO, Hesed Consulting) to discuss this.
