Angela Armstrong
Course Director and Assistant Professor for Fashion
Biography
Angela Armstrong is Programme Director for Fashion at Coventry University. Angela is currently working with colleague Ann Muirhead setting up Future Armour a University Spin Out company.
Taking on the challenge to establish a recognisable, strong premium workwear brand in the UK, using the latest smart fabrics, cutting edge manufacturing processes and creative pattern cutting, to improve usability, protective characteristics and desirability, thus significantly contributing to preventing injuries and saving lives. Angela is leading research on testing the latest smart fabrics, coatings and trims and their assessment in relation to current health and safety standards, investigating the sustainability of materials and manufacturing processes.
