Biography
Dr. Stella Despoudi is Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management at the Coventry Business School at Coventry University since June 2015 and newly appointed Associate Course Director for the MSc International Business Management. She also teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules such as Supply Chain and Operations Management, Purchasing and Procurement, and Quality Management and Business Excellence. She has been awarded pump-prime funding for a multi-stakeholder project in the area of Food Supply Chain Resilience.
Prior to this Stella has been working for the American Farm School in Greece in collaboration with Cardiff Metropolitan University and for Loughborough University’s School of Business & Economics. She holds a PhD in Operations and Supply Chain Management from Loughborough University’s School of Business and Economics.
She is Teaching Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and member of Production & Operations Management Society, and European Operations Management Association.

Research interests
Stella’s research expertise lies in the following research areas: food supply chain management, supply chain resilience, severe weather events and climatic changes, emergency logistics, food waste and food sustainability, resource efficiency. Currently she works on a multi-partner project about UK’s food supply chain resilience, climatic changes, and severe weather events.
