Research Interests:
- Public awareness for warning and informing: raising public awareness of threats and actions, participatory approaches and social learning for greater preparedness
- Community adaptive resilience to the impacts of acute hazards and those linked to climate change, resilience in disaster precondition as the key to sustainable disaster risk reduction, the role of cultural and social influence on adaptive capacity and actions
- Complex natural hazards - assessing complex hazards, channels of communication of hazard, for example: maps and statistics, single hazard vs. multi-hazard approaches
