Teenage/ Young Adult Cancer Care and Adult Nursing

Maria has a BSc in Cancer Nursing and a MSc in Teaching and Learning. She has been working closely with professionals and the UK Charity Teenage Cancer Trust, delivering specific care to Teenagers/ Young Adults with Cancer for the past 8 years seeing the unique needs of this age group of patients being championed and met through education and research that informs clinical practice. She as part of a team, was awarded Coventry University’s Teaching Excellence Award for the development and delivery of an online course in the subject area. She contributes to several national and international groups on educational matters in Teenage Cancer Care.
