Biography |
Prior to becoming a Senior Lecturer Amritpal worked for Boots Plc for five years as a Management Information Analyst & Marketing Analyst. During this time he worked within e-commerce, analysing business performance and consumer behaviour to shape and develop strategy. He has a strong ability to understand business requirements and produce appropriate solutions using sophisticated modelling techniques. During this time Amritpal gained key experience in price modelling, customer insight, consumer behaviour and attitudes, segmentation and use of SAP-BW. In addition he gained practical experience in data mining. Amritpal is highly numerate with excellent analytical skills and has an aptitude for problem solving. He is highly competent in developing sophisticated spreadsheet modelling which includes Monte Carlo simulation. He has extensive experience of undergraduate & postgraduate teaching as well as supervising Masters level dissertations. Amritpal has experience of building Linear Programming models and the use of LINDO. He has been responsible for developing institutional links with Universities in India as well as postgraduate recruitment at British Council Fairs. Amritpal has taught final & master’s level modules in Hong Kong & Oman. |
