As the release of A-Level and BTEC results approaches, we’ve put together five top tips to help you navigate the Clearing process with ease.
Have a look at courses you might like to apply for through Clearing in advance and write down any questions you may have about them, so you can ask the admissions team. Most universities will only have a limited number of places available, so having a clear idea of what you are looking for will help you feel calm and confident.
The exact course you hope to study may not be available through Clearing, so consider similar degree titles, which may contain similar course content. Look at the modules you will study and graduate employment outcomes – there are often multiple pathways to the route you want to go down.
Things will move quickly on results day, so make sure you have your results, UCAS ID number, Clearing number (if you have one), email and telephone number to hand. This will speed up the process of securing the offer you want.
Reassure yourself by seeking out experiences from other people who have been through Clearing, before undertaking it yourself. Read Jimmy, Joselyn and Laura’s first-hand stories of how they gained places at Coventry University London through Clearing.
Many students who come to us through Clearing go on to have an amazing experience and perform really well in their degrees and their careers, and we strongly believe you can too!
Clearing can be nerve-wracking, but our friendly admissions advisers are here to help you find out what options are available to you. Get in touch with them by phone +44 (0)24 7688 8888 or live chat to start your search for a course that aligns with your ambitions.
