Get Ahead and High Flyers
If you're a final-year student looking to get noticed by employers, we strongly recommend you join Get Ahead or High Flyers, our extra-curricular programmes for students who want to upskill.
Both Get Ahead (for third year undergraduates) and High Flyers (for postgraduates) consist of 14 interactive group workshops, designed to help you learn the skills you need to thrive in the world of work. Sessions are hosted by specialist staff and inspiring figures from industry, and you can attend as many or as few workshops as you want to.
Sessions will cover topics such as networking, critical thinking, self-employment, and personal branding. If you attend a set number of workshops, you'll receive a certificate, a great addition to your CV.
If preferred, you can also undertake other forms of learning and development to achieve a certificate, including volunteering with a charity of your choice, or completing online courses using our free memberships to LinkedIn Learning and sigma.
