Internships
To undertake an internship or consulting project, students will need to be interviewed and selected by an employer.
The experience and research carried out whilst working with the employer will enable students to complete a written module assignment. To be eligible to undertake a project with an employer students must demonstrate excellent academic performance and maintain regular attendance throughout their programme. Students are also required to work closely with the Talent Team to prepare themselves for a potential interview and work opportunity.
What students say
"As part of my fourth term module I chose to intern for a family owned clothing and accessories company, specifically working on their campaign for renowned clothing brand Jack and Jones.
Based in Belgium, I was positioned within the buying department, working alongside a team responsible for purchasing clothes for all twenty Jack and Jones stores throughout Belgium and Luxembourg. My role involved re-ordering relevant products and supplying the shops when required. I also evaluated current products and followed-up on the outcome of these reports. This was a fantastic opportunity for me to put the theory skills I had learnt as part of my MBA into practice whilst creating valuable networks within the fashion industry".
"As part of my fourth term module I undertook an internship at a central London premier showroom for exotic high performance super cars and special classic cars. I had a range of responsibilities including delivering a high level of customer service selling merchandise such as Bobby Bentley cars. In addition, I undertook research surrounding target audience and the factors affecting customers who are considering purchasing a car.
This internship has developed my organisational skills, given me the opportunity to work under pressure in a high sales environment and to work with customers from a range of different cultural backgrounds. These skills have enabled me to successfully sell high range products whilst improving my communications and sales skills. I have thoroughly enjoyed my internship and have made valuable contacts".
