Coventry University London Campus was delighted to welcome one of our strategic partners The Ritz London onto Campus to deliver a guest lecture on “A day in the life at The Ritz”. All students were invited to attend the lecture including students studying International Hospitality and Tourism Management programmes.
Head of Human Resources Joanne Meredith and Hotel Manager Sal Gowili provided the students with a fascinating insight into the day to day operations of this prestigious and world famous hotel. They gave information on the history and success of the hotel, other Ritz Hotels throughout the world, employee incentives, and information on how a large number of staff communicate together effectively to provide a renowned customer service.
As one of the world's most famous and prestigious hotels, the students relished the opportunity to take part in a question and answer session at the end of the lecture, asking valuable questions that relate to the business skills they are currently developing at the London Campus.
Business Development Executive Richard Moon said:
“It has been an honour to host The Ritz at Coventry University London Campus. The talk that both Joanne and Sal delivered to our students and staff was excellent, and gave everyone an insight into what it is like to work and stay at one of the most famous hotels in the world’’
Coventry University London Campus has worked with The Ritz London in providing internship and consultancy project opportunities for postgraduate students. On successful completion of an internship, students are presented with “The Ritz London Internship Endorsement Award’ at Graduation.
