Second-year students studying BA (Hons) Global Business Management at Coventry University London Campus recently participated in the Business Games Challenge organised by Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
This Business Games Challenge is based on a case study activity taken from the CIMA qualification, which has a direct relevance to business and finance roles. The session focused on teamwork and communication skills and students worked together to deliver business recommendations on the given case and raise awareness of what employers want and look for.
Students had to demonstrate how they can apply their knowledge to a real business scenario. As well as being assessed on the quality of their output from the case study activity, they were also being assessed on their soft skills and how they have been appropriately demonstrated throughout the activity.
Students were to reflect on their own strengths and weaknesses identifying areas for future personal development. CIMA works with over 4,500 employers globally which gives The London Campus teaching staff an insight on how to help students meet those skills.
Head of Professional Development at the London Campus Carole Still awarded certificates issued by CIMA to the winning team.
This was a fantastic opportunity for students at the London Campus to engage with CIMA whilst further strengthening the commitment and strategy of engaging with respected renowned professional bodies at Coventry University London Campus.
