MSc Global Financial Trading students at Coventry University London Campus will now be able to practice real-time trading, using the award-winning trading platform Tradestation, as the London Campus becomes a member of TradeStation's Academic Programme.
Real-time trading on TradeStation complements a range of other open and closed trading simulations on Coventry University London Campus designated trading floor.
The trading floor allows students to benefit from interactive teaching of complex financial investments, including equities, fixed income, commodities, foreign exchange, and their derivatives. Students are also able to experience trading from both the buy-side and sell-side of the market.
The trading floor simulations are used across a wide range of programmes to include, for example, teaching Global Business students about factors influencing international trade and investment, and Oil and Gas Management students how oil prices are determined.
TradeStation’s award-winning trading platform, trading software and online financial brokerage services set the standard for fundamental and technical analysis of financial markets, and for direct-access online trading across multiple asset classes.
TradeStation consistently ranks as the best stock trading system, best options trading system and best futures trading system available for intermediate and advanced traders.
TradeStation platform enables students to trade stocks, options, futures and forex in a simulated account using real-time market data. The program offers a safe environment in which to develop and apply trading strategies while learning risk-management skills.
Through TradeStation, students learn creating custom trading strategies, back-testing them against an extensive historical database and automating the real-time monitoring and execution of their strategies.
