Dr Heliza Hami

Dr Heliza is a Senior Lecturer in Enterprise and Innovation at the School of Management, Coventry University London Campus. She holds the role of the Course Director for the MSc Management course, the largest course within the campus. Additionally, in her role as a senior lecturer, she is also involved in module leadership and teaching. Prior to joining academia, Heliza was in the corporate sector exploring various industries including oil and gas, manufacturing and IT as a Finance Manager for 14 years. Combining her experience in the industry and academia has equipped her with the knowledge, experience, communication and leadership skills from diverse backgrounds.

• MBA in Business Management, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Malaysia (2010 - 2012)
• Bachelor in Accounting (Hons), Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Malaysia (1998- 2002)

Research and Consultancy

As a researcher, Heliza presented intellectual papers at various conferences such as the British Academy of Management (BAM), Institute of Small Business and Enterprises (ISBE) and the University of Bedfordshire Winter Conference where she received substantive feedback and appreciation. Her main research interest is in young and generational entrepreneurs. Heliza adopts to explore new venture creation process, idea development and entrepreneurial opportunity identification. Other research interests include gender and entrepreneurship, leadership and psychological approaches to entrepreneurship.
