Dr Gizem Kutlu completed her PhD in Management at the Department of Public Leadership and Social Enterprise at The Open University Business School, UK. She was a teaching assistant on Exploring Entrepreneurship and Innovation module for the last 2 years. She joined Coventry University London as a lecturer (A) in Business and Management in 2023 February. She is the module leader of Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship. Dr Gizem Kutlu teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate courses on Entrepreneurship and Innovation. In addition, her research and teaching interests have a primary focus on the intersection of sustainability, entrepreneurship, gender and innovation.

Research and Consultancy
Dr Gizem Kutlu has 6 years of experience in conducting research in the areas of gender and entrepreneurship, environmental and social innovation, and sustainable practices of SMEs. Her systematic literature review on gender and environmental entrepreneurship has been published in the proceedings of the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE) Conference on Space. Additionally, she has an upcoming book chapter on "Sustainable Female Entrepreneurship, A Case Study from Turkey" to be published in Dr Dhaliwal Spinder’s book on Entrepreneurship and Diversity. She is also contributing to the development of Higher Education through her existent collaboration with colleagues from Open University by exploring interventions to reduce minoritized ethnic student’s attainment gap in Higher Education Institutions.
