Dominica came to Coventry University London from Muscat, India, to study our International Finance and Accounting BA (Hons). Dominica was drawn to study in Coventry University London due to its central location in the financial district. During her time at university, Dominica worked as a student ambassador and student blogger, in addition to working part-time as an accounts administrator. Following the completion of her course, Dominica progressed on to our Professional Accounting MSc.

I feel the teaching and support from tutors at Coventry University London is fantastic. They help you by offering dedicated one-to-ones, so if you do have questions, then it’s up to you to ask them. The academics want us to do our best, so they make it a very personalised learning experience.
The university has so many company visits, guest lectures by industry experts, and offers a lot of assistance in gaining work experience.
On the BA accounting course, you’ll be working with numbers a lot and I’d definitely suggest you pay attention during classes, as it will help you apply what you’ve learned to different scenarios and applications.
Apart from the great academics, there are many other great things that Coventry University London offers. There are opportunities to become a Student Ambassador or a Course Representative, which helps you to enrich your skills and CV. We also got to go on field trips to Lloyds of London, Bloomberg, S&P Global Headquarters, Bank of England and Metro Bank.
The support from other departments and university services is great too. My classmates and I started a networking society – the Libelum Society – and Coventry University London helped us to advertise it.
