Coventry University’s student accommodation services provider, Futurelets, have been shortlisted for two College and University Business Officers (CUBO) awards for outstanding achievements in campus and commercial services.

Futurelets were nominated for Best Residence Life Initiative 2020 and Best Student Housing 2020 for the Coventry University-owned student hall, Godiva Place.

The CUBO Awards recognise exceptional achievements, innovation and best practice in university campus and commercial services, from accommodation and catering to sport and conferencing.

I am delighted that we have been shortlisted for these two CUBO awards, which is great recognition for the work we do to provide our students with excellent accommodation services. Our aim is to take the stress out of students moving into their new home by finding them a property to suit all their needs, while providing them with ample opportunity to grow and experience student life through our Reslife pillars of social, health and well-being, community, and skills activities.

Obi Okwuadigbo, Managing Director of Futurelets

FutureLets manage private accommodation as well as university halls and deal exclusively with Coventry University students. All their accommodation is located within proximity to the Coventry University campus, and their property portfolio includes studio flats, en-suite rooms, apartments and houses for large groups.

Godiva Place has an impressive mix of flats and rooms and is located near to both the university and local amenities. It is an excellent choice for students wanting to be close to everything Coventry has to offer.

In what has been such a difficult year, we feel it is vitally important to recognise and reward excellence in our sector. Never have campus services teams worked so hard. Our virtual awards night will be a chance to join together to celebrate not only the finalists and winners, but also the determination and resilience of everyone across the sector.

Kirsty Woodward, CUBO Awards Chair and Director of Campus Services, University of Leicester

Due to the on-going Covid-19 crisis, the CUBO awards winners will be announced at a Virtual Awards Ceremony on Thursday 3 December. This will be part of the week-long virtual CUBO Winter Festival.

Further details of the event will be announced soon and the awards results will be kept strictly under wraps until the ceremony.
