Coventry University Group has ranked as the best in the country in seven subjects across key themes in the latest National Student Survey (NSS) results.
In the latest rankings released yesterday (10 August), Coventry University Group – which includes Coventry University, Coventry University London, CU Coventry, CU London and CU Scarborough - is named as number one across all higher education institutions in England in the following subjects at undergraduate level:
As well as the success in these subjects, Coventry University Group ranked fifth in the Midlands and 13th in modern/new universities in England for Student Voice, sixth in the Midlands for Learning Opportunities and Assessment and Feedback, and seventh in the Midlands for Teaching on my course.
According to Ipsos MORI, which runs the survey on behalf of the Office for Students, nearly half a million students across the UK are invited to take part in the survey each year, giving them an opportunity to provide honest feedback on their experiences of certain courses and education institutions.
The NSS seeks the views of final-year undergraduate students across the UK every year between January and the end of April. The survey enables higher education providers to evaluate and improve their courses continuously, as well as helping prospective students make decisions about where to study.
We are extremely proud to have seven of our subjects recognised for their high standards by the people who they impact on the most – our students.
Being ranked highly for student voice also shows that our learners feel they are heard, listened to and we act upon their feedback.
We couldn’t have achieved these excellent results without the hard work and commitment of our colleagues who are so committed to making the student experience here the very best it can be. I’d like to send my thanks to them personally and on behalf of the university.
Professor John Latham CBE, Coventry University Vice-Chancellor
