Visiting Assessors

Are you a current or former teacher who would like to undertake assessments of our trainee teachers? Work for us in a Visiting Assessor role. 

Initial Teacher Training: Visiting Assessors - Primary & Secondary (all subjects)

This is an exciting opportunity to join Coventry University’s National Institute of Teaching and Education as a Visiting Assessor to our school-based trainee teachers. Applications are welcome from serving and former teachers and school leaders, as well as current freelance consultants.

We are building a pool of assessors at Primary level and across the secondary subject range in each region of the UK and internationally. For suitably qualified individuals there may also be the opportunity for international travel.

Our Assessors include current teachers who undertake this work for their own Continued Professional Development (CPD), retired teachers and school leaders, and freelance former teachers. The number of assessments can vary according to your desired commitment.

Assessors will need to have experience of observing teachers, making accurate judgements on the quality of teaching and feeding back to trainee teachers.
