Members of the Light Aircraft Association (LAA) are due to embark on a new programme of training in April 2013, with the introduction of a range of courses developed in partnership with Coventry University.
LAA members build, fly and maintain their own light aircraft. The new training programme offers five consecutive one-day courses covering light aircraft design, flight simulation dynamics, computational fluid dynamics and wind tunnel dynamics. The courses are all delivered from the University’s newly opened Engineering and Computing building, enabling LAA members to access state-of-the-art equipment including the Mercedes Petronas wind tunnel and flight simulators.
Roger Hopkinson, Chairman of the LAA said:
We at the LAA are convinced that the only way to continue to promote the aerospace sector at all levels is through collaborative research and training. I am certain that this partnership will create further exciting opportunities for us both in the years ahead.
The University offers custom designed learning and development solutions that solve real and current business challenges, addressing the partner organisation’s requirements and enabling individuals to apply what they learn in their workplace.
