MSc Global Entrepreneurship student Simon Duong has beaten more than 2,000 competitors to win a franchise opportunity worth over £10,000.
Simon Duong already gained a first class honours Enterprise and Entrepreneurship and is now studying for his postgraduate degree. Inspired by forward thinkers like Richard Branson and James Dyson and passionate about health and fitness, Simon was eager to be part of a growing company which gets children and families active through creative, storytelling-style yoga classes, so entered the competition to win a franchise with YogaBugs.
Applicants entered the competition in September 2011 and had until 24 November to submit a two-page business case. A short-list of candidates were invited to make a presentation to a panel of three judges, with three finalists being selected to attend the Midlands Business Awards, from which Simon was chosen as the overall winner.
YogaBugs CEO, Mark Goode said: ‘Simon impressed me with his passion, determination and confidence. His entrepreneurial skills, attention to detail and enthusiasm are key attributes in a successful franchisee.’
