The Centre for Financial and Corporate Integrity (CFCI) in cooperation with the Royal United Services Institute’s (RUSI) Centre for Financial Crime and Security Studies would like to invite you to an event on: Understanding AML/CFT Compliance: Unpacking the Requirements for UK Asset Managers of Luxembourg-Based Funds.
Dimitrios Kafteranis and Kathryn Westmore have the pleasure to host Sandrine Périot and Markos Marios Bikas from Arendt Regulatory and Consulting SA (Luxembourg).

Sandrine Périot, Partner, Arendt Regulatory & Consulting
Sandrine Périot is a Partner at Arendt Regulatory and Consulting (ARC).
With more than 27 years of experience in the business consulting sector, she specializes in Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism(AML/CFT). She is also the Global Head of AML/CFT services within Arendt.
Previously, Sandrine held a role as a partner at a Big Four firm, where she led the Forensic and AML service offering.
Sandrine is known for her expertise in advising clients across financial and non-financial sectors, on the implementation of AML/CFT compliance framework and strategies. Her areas of expertise encompass assisting businesses in effectively navigating AML/CFT obligations, crafting and executing remediation exercises, formulating corrective plans, and implementing risk-based approaches tailored to each enterprise's needs.
In parallel, Sandrine actively contributes to the field of AML/CFT. She delivers AML/CFT training programs, speaks at industry conferences, and plays a role within various professional associations in Luxembourg in shaping AML/CFT guidelines.
Markos Marios Bikas, Senior Manager, Arendt Regulatory & Consulting
Markos Marios Bikas is a Senior Manager at Arendt Regulatory & Consulting SA (ARC), specializing in Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) and boasting extensive expertise in Financial Crime prevention and investigation. As a qualified lawyer, certified fraud examiner (member of ACFE), and certified anti-money laundering specialist (member of ACAMS), Markos brings a unique blend of legal acumen and specialized certifications to his role.
Prior to joining Arendt, Markos held a managerial position within Forensic and AML services at a prominent Big Four firm, where he also led the CIS practice.
Markos has a proven track record of successfully overseeing, designing, and executing projects encompassing AML/CFT compliance support. These projects include compliance transformation programs, policy and procedure design, capability assessments, controls, implementation of regulatory requirements, KYC remediation projects, internal audits, as well as the development and implementation of fraud prevention controls and investigations into fraud and corruption.
In his work, Markos strives to strike a balance between regulatory obligations and business development. His technical knowledge, his proven ability to delve into details and to make risk-based decisions, enable him to operate effectively within fast-paced environments.
