About us
Partnering with researchers and research leaders, Research Services helps drive, deliver and develop the University Research Strategy, adding value throughout the entire research lifecycle. Our services are delivered within a positive, enabling, and collaborative culture, which engages staff, allows space for creativity, and provides recognition and reward.
Our teams
Research Services provide support for activities throughout the research funding lifecycle. These services are delivered through the following teams:
Research Funding and Development
The Research Funding and Development Team provides advice and support on the development and submission of research funding applications. This includes providing costings, liaising with funders, as well as facilitating the internal peer review and approval processes for all applications in which Coventry University researchers are involved as a lead or partner.
Research Delivery Support
The Research Delivery Support team support the delivery of quality and impactful research projects through the provision of a dedicated project management service, from contracting through to project close. The Team includes a dedicated Ethics, Integrity and Governance team who manage the ethics processes for the University Group.
Research Finance and Compliance
Research Finance and Compliance team provides project accounting and compliance service to Research, CPD, Consultancy and other externally funded projects within the Coventry Group. This includes monitoring expenditure, timely submission of all the claims/ invoices, contractual compliance, responding to queries from funders/academics, hosting and managing audits.
Research Excellence and Impact
The Research Excellence and Impact team is responsible for developing University-wide systems, data, analysis and processes in support of the University’s drive to increase the volume and quality of its research. In addition to providing a dedicated impact service, the team contributes to enhancing research excellence and impact.
Research Systems
The Research Systems Team support the growth of the University’s research base through the development and implementation of effective systems and operations across Research Services and the Research Institutes.
Research Operations
The Operations Teams provided dedicated operational service to each of the University’s 8 Research Institutes. A multi-skilled team, Operations ensure the smooth running of the Institutes’ services, outputs and facilities.
