Hello my name is Nina Morgan and I'm the Chief Nursing Officer at UHCW NHS Trust. I'm delighted to welcome you to our short video of what the Centre for Care Excellence means to both organisations and the people that work for us and with us on a day-to-day basis. I've been really proud working in collaboration with Coventry University particularly Dr Rosie Kneafsey and we've now got to the point where we're ready to launch the fantastic Centre for Care Excellence. It's all about innovation, it's all about leading excellent care in practice, in research and in education - that's pre and post reg and in improvements to the way that we deliver care for our patients.

I'm very pleased to see the launch of the Centre for Care Excellence today. This is without a doubt a really important partnership between Coventry University and UHCW, and it's one that's been growing from strength to strength for the last five years. This new centre will now celebrate that partnership, enabling clinical and academic professional staff to undertake clinically relevant and clinically impactful research practice and innovation. The centre directly aligns to Coventry University’s strong values of partnership and to UHCW values of care, achieve and innovate.
Hi my name is Helen Eftekhari and I’m a Arrythmia and Syncope Advanced Nurse Ppractitioner in cardiology. In 2014, I finished my ANP Masters through Coventry University and have always been very interested in the research side of how we can improve patient care. In 2016, I was one of the first candidates on the Inca programme which was a collaborative work between UHCW and R&D at Coventry University. I successfully completed the Inca bronze and went on to do the silver MRes programme in 2019. I'm very pleased about the opportunity that's being offered to us as nurses as this will help to improve our patient care and I'm excited about the Centre for Care Excellence.

Hello, my name is Claire Pheasant and I'm a registered Physiotherapist and Associate Director of Allied Health Professionals here at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. The key parts of my role is to work in partnership with Coventry University to support the development of the current and future allied health professional workforce. Research informed practice is a core principle of pre-registration training across the disciplines of allied health professions. The Centre for Care Excellence will provide excellent opportunities for allied health professionals to engage in research activity, which will lead to benefits for service users and staff in both organisations.
Hi my name is Adam Ryder, I've been employed as a Research Radiographer at UHCW for about two years now. I'm also doing a Master's in Research at Coventry University. The Centre for Care Excellence is going to provide a lot of opportunities for supporting a conductive environment for AHPs, nurses and midwives to be actively involved in research. In turn, we know that trusts that are actively involved in research, do have better patient outcomes so I think that's what we're going to get out of this Centre for Care Excellence.
Hello my name is Deborah Lycett and I am Professor of Religious Health Interventions and Dietetic Practice in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at Coventry University. I'm really, really thrilled for this launch and for all the opportunities it will bring.
