Research themes
Practices of economy, behaviours, and actions, including creative and cultural economies, are embedded within, and formed through broader social structures, political economies, ecologies, and social worlds.
The Centre for Creative Economies will investigate creative and cultural economies through the combination of social science, humanities, and arts approaches. Utilising analysis, interpretation, creation, innovative communication and collaboration, CCE will contribute to and demonstrate the arguments for SHAPE (Social Sciences, Humanities and the Arts for People and the Economy/Environment) and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) skills as a basis for understanding the complexity of contemporary life and its global challenges and issues.
