Theme vision
Our research aims to develop new algorithms and methodologies to push forward the next generation of Artificial Intelligence technologies and applications. We have a diverse range of expertise covering computational algebra, computational logic, control systems, network inference, meta-heuristics and topological data analysis. Our unifying interest is the generation of pioneering algorithmic advances driven by mathematics fundamentals and machine learning technology, often applied in tandem or upon each other, validated against meaningful application data.
Our theme prioritises new AI techniques that are ethical and explainable. Our current projects include the generation of new tools for computational algebraic geometry and their application in bio chemical network analysis; the use of citizen scientists to investigate data privacy; and a new systems engineering methodologies applied to characterise neurological disorders.
