PROJECT OBJECTIVES

To provide an updated picture of the size of the UK social investment market in 2012/13 and 2013/14, following previous work undertaken by the same research team.

The methodology entailed a literature review and survey of social investment financial intermediaries (SIFIs).

IMPACT STATEMENT

The project provides evidence for progress against the DWP’s Social Justice Strategy and, more broadly, assisted policy-makers in understanding the direction of change within the social investment sector.

The project adds further to the critical mass of research activity of CBiS in community finance, social investment and social enterprise.
