The event promoted the role of social science research in solving the food waste problem by sharing findings on why individuals throw away food, how businesses can adapt their practices to mitigate waste and promote the role of social innovators in demonstrating potential solutions. Audiences learnt about a number of innovative strategies to both reduce and prevent food waste which held potential further transferability.
