Project objectives
To provide an historical account of the functions and roles of the scouting and guiding associations of Punjab in engaging the youth towards community works since early 20th century until independence of Pakistan:
- To explore the carrying on of the scouting/guiding legacies since independence onwards;
- To identify the two-way linkages between educational institutions and the Boy Scout and the Girl Guide associations for training students into useful active citizens;
- To develop an illustrative publication for the sake of revealing, disseminating and relearning from the past and present dynamics of scouting/guiding activities in Pakistan as an on-going shared cultural heritage.
