A*STAR PhD Studentships
The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) is a leading research organisation in Singapore that works to nurture and develop talent for the research community in Singapore and beyond. Coventry is part of the prestigious A*Star Research Attachment Programme (ARAP) which offers fully funded four-year PhD studentships.
The studentship projects are developed and supervised jointly by a Coventry University and an A*STAR supervisor with an extended period collaborating in laboratories at Coventry University and an A*Star research institute in Singapore. Students typically spend Year One at Coventry, Years Two and Three in Singapore, returning to Coventry for Year Four. Training and support is given at both locations and the programme provides an exciting opportunity for students to develop their scientific skills in high quality international research settings.
Students are registered at Coventry University throughout the four years of study and are awarded a Coventry University PhD upon successful completion of the programme.
The Studentships are open to all applicants, intakes are usually in January and September each year.
