What happens after you have applied
If you have applied online you will be able to log into your PGR+ account and track your application progress at any time.
The Doctoral College may contact you if they have any queries or require further information relating to your application.
As part of the decision making process the Research Centre/Faculty will contact you directly if they wish to invite you for an interview.
Once a decision has been reached this will be communicated to you through PGR+ please note that an academic decisions can take up to 3 months, so it is very important that you apply well in advance of the date you wish to start.
Accept your offer
If your application is successful you will be sent an offer letter which you will need to respond to. Please ensure that you read the letter carefully as it contains lots of information and useful links. The acceptance link is contained within the offer sent to you.
By accepting your offer you will be agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined in your offer letter; if you are funding your studies privately you should only confirm acceptance if you have secured sufficient funding for your studies.
Changing the start date
To request a new start date you should contact us by email at research-apps.pg@coventry.ac.uk and we will forward your request to the Faculty or Research Centre for their consideration and decision. If they are happy to accommodate your request, a new formal offer letter will be issued with your revised start and end date. You will have to accept this new offer as outlined above.
Please note that:
- deferrals are not allowed for funded studentships
- deferrals are to the next available entry point
- only one deferral will be permitted
