Transfers
Coventry University will process all transfer applicants from other UK Higher Institutions in accordance with the University’s:
- Chapter 4 of the Academic Regulation, including entry requirements;
- Postgraduate Research Admissions and Application Procedure.
Transfers process:
Applicant submits application online via PGR+.
The PGR Transfer-in Applicant Guidance (doc) details the requirements and examples of supporting documents which should include, such as:
- All draft chapters produced to date
- Evidence of ethical approval from current institution
- Academic references
- Copies of progress reports to date
Candidates will be processed in line with normal admissions processes but will be required to undergo a Transfer-In interview Panel (TIIP).
The TIIP will review work provided and previous registration. The Panel will confirm registration based on time at current and any previous institutions. This will be completed in accordance with the University’s Academic Regulations (Section 4), Postgraduate Research Application and Admissions Procedure, Postgraduate Research Transfer-in Procedure, and the Postgraduate Research Transfer-in Interview Panel document.
The Panel's decision will be processed by the Doctoral College and Centre in line with normal admissions processes and an offer will be made based on the TIIP decision provided all entry requirements are met.
Postgraduate Research Transfer-in Applicants Guidance for applicants Postgraduate Researcher application to transfer to Coventry University from another UKHEI. Minimum Registration will be in accordance with Chapter 8 of the University’s Academic Registration.
