Kate Broadhurst
RESEARCH SUBJECT AND INTERESTS
My research interests include conomic development, partnership working, social enterprise, enterprise and opportunity and community safety and cohesion. My current research explores the decentralisation of economic policy looking in particular at how Local Enterprise Partnerships support local growth and manage and report on performance. It reviews the current forms of performance management adopted by LEPs and critiques established frameworks to assess their suitability. The study aims to test and propose a framework that will be suitable for use by all LEPs.
BIOGRAPHY
Kate has over 20 years’ experience in research, consultancy, training and education initially built up in the field of social cohesion with a focus on crime and community safety, education and youth justice. More lately the focus has been on economic development, enterprise and social impact. With a strong focus on business development including UK/ EU tendering processes and client management, she has proven leadership skills and competence in managing, developing and motivating teams.
Kate has first-class research design, management and problem solving skills with a dedication to maintaining high quality standards and a commitment to equality of opportunity.
