Summer Schools
In the School of Art and Design we offer international students two Summer Schools which consist of a two-week course here in the UK, either in Coventry or London.
Design and Visual Arts
This course is located in the main campus on Coventry University that will introduce students to dramatic ambient visual displays and artistic solutions that are arresting and provocative. Students will have access to state-of-the-art facilities for practical workshops, discussions and trips to local art communities and galleries. Opportunities exist for students to work with experienced and dedicated members of the graphic design, fine art and industrial design courses.
Fashion Marketing
This intensive two-week course introduces students to the core principles of marketing a fashion brand. By the end of the course, students will have created a basic visual identity for a fashion brand, a rationale and a promo video. The course is split between Coventry University's London and Coventry campuses. The course's emphasis is on marketing, on identifying and understanding a brand's product, core values and marketable potential.
UK work experience
Placements and internships provide the student with a competitive advantage in the labour market by allowing them to gain valuable work experience, which is why the School of Art and Design invest heavily to allow students the opportunity to apply theory into practice and to develop the soft skills often sought by employers.
Creative Futures are our specialist careers service located within the School of Art and Design who help students both home and international, to support students wanting to undertake a placement or work experience in the UK.
