Routes into Nursing
Whatever your previous experience and qualifications we have a route which will enable you to achieve your ambition of becoming a nurse.
For people with no formal qualifications we have an Access to Nursing course, which can lead to an undergraduate degree to become a nursing associate or one of several nursing specialisms. For graduates who are looking to change career we have postgraduate degrees enabling you to qualify in just 2 years.
Working in a variety of settings
Nurses work in a variety of settings – not just hospital wards and operating theatres. You will find nurses working in the community, visiting people’s homes, in hospices, doctor’s surgeries and care homes. Many people don’t realise that there is not just one type of nurse, you can specialise in a number of areas, which best meets your skills and career aspirations including:
