Placement for undergraduate students

Many of the university’s undergraduate courses offer the opportunity to undertake an optional additional year gaining experience on a work internship/placement, in the UK or abroad. Our Talent Team is here to support you during the process of applying for a place.
We also work closely with industry and professional bodies to ensure our courses provide you with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills demanded by employers.

Employability and work placement support

Our Talent Team’s dedicated employability and internship/placement support offers a range of services, including:

  • Handshake – a personalised, online environment to engage with career enhancing activities and resources with our professionally qualified team
  • one-to-one support
  • drop-in sessions for CV, application and personal statement checks
  • skills development workshops
  • mock interviews
  • assessment centre and psychometric testing training
  • employer and networking events.

School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health
