Accept your offer
You’ve made up your mind and you’ve decided Coventry is the choice for you – great news! Now it’s time to accept your offer so you can start your studies with us.
UCAS applications
Once you’ve received all of your offers, you can accept your firm and insurance offer by logging into your UCAS account.
1
Firm Acceptance
This is your first choice and the offer you want to select as your Firm Acceptance. If the offer is an unconditional offer, then the place is all yours! If it is a conditional offer, there will be certain conditions you need to meet before your place is guaranteed – but you can still select this offer as your Firm Acceptance.
2
Insurance Acceptance
This offer is your plan B. It may not be your first choice, but it’s important you’re still happy with this offer as this may be the route you take if you do not meet the conditions of your Firm Acceptance.
3
Decline
Once you’ve selected your Firm Acceptance and your Insurance Acceptance, you’ll need to decline all other offers you have received. If you decide you don’t want to accept any of your offers, you can decline them all.
4
Accepting your offer through UCAS
If you applied via UCAS, application decision deadlines are set according to when you received decisions from your chosen universities. You will have a personal deadline on your UCAS Hub.
Make sure your application and enrolment go smoothly by keeping an eye on these key deadlines:
Date you receive your last decision | Reply date |
---|---|
On or before 16 May 2024 (except if you're UCAS Extra to find a place) | 6 June 2024 |
On or before 17 July 2024 (including UCAS Extra choice) | 24 July 2024 |
Direct applications for UK students
If you have applied via our Applicant Portal, we would encourage you to accept your offer as early as possible. This will allow you to progress your accommodation application, as well as ensure you receive all the necessary communications in preparations for enrolment.
You can find your decision deadline in the Applicant Portal on your offer letter.
Direct/agent applications for international students
If you have applied via an agent or our Applicant Portal, we would encourage you to accept your offer as early as possible. This will allow you to progress your accommodation application, as well as ensure you receive all the necessary communications in preparations for enrolment.
You can find your decision deadline in the Applicant Portal on your offer letter.
If you are offered a place on your course (or alternative course) you will be invited to a virtual or on campus Open Day (if you are based in the UK). You may also be invited to attend an interview, audition or a portfolio review on campus or online if the course you are applying for requires it.
We will issue you a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) once you have satisfied all your offer conditions. Once you have received your CAS you will be able to apply for your student visa*.
The process for obtaining a visa can be lengthy, so we'd encourage applying as early as possible to ensure there is enough time to travel to the UK before your course starts. You'll only be able to apply for your visa after:
- You have logged into your application account on the application portal and accepted the offer.
- You have met all the conditions of your offer (please make sure you upload the documents requested on your offer letter onto the application portal).
- You have paid your deposit in line with the tuition fee policy and your offer letter. To make sure that your own payments are secure, you should only make payments to us through one of the methods on our official payment page.
If you’re ready to accept your offer and you have applied via an agent, please speak to them directly.
*Please note, applications that have outstanding conditions by the deadline outlined in your offer letter will have the option to defer to the next available intake to allow you time to meet your outstanding offer conditions.
