New Alison Gingell Building
Lanchester Library refurbishment
Beatrice Shilling Building
The new Beatrice Shilling building is the third building to be used by the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing.
The four-storey building provides a range of learning spaces that will include a gaming and virtual reality studio, a specialist area for 3D printing and rapid prototyping, a laser facility and physics and electronics laboratories, all designed around a full-height central atrium configured to promote student and staff collaboration.
Delia Derbyshire Building
The old Bugatti building has been demolished to facilitate the construction of a brand-new public entrance and gallery space, linking the existing Maurice Foss and Graham Sutherland buildings. The new building provides state-of-the-art arts and humanities facilities, such as a multi-use studio and Immersive Technology studio.
Graham Sutherland and Maurice Foss received a complete internal refurbishment, increasing capacity for the future and enabling the university to provide a stimulating, playful and challenging environment for all students.
Starley Gardens
The old James Starley building was demolished to make way for the fabulous new Starley Gardens in 2021. Inventor of the Penny Farthing and the Coventry Tricycle, James Starley is generally regarded as the father of the modern-day bicycle industry. This eco-friendly landscaping scheme benefits students, staff and the wider community, by providing a tranquil zone promoting wellness in the heart of the campus and Coventry city-centre. As well as opening up the whole area, the gardens maximise the view of Coventry Cathedral from other university buildings.
Bishop Gate
Brand new in 2018, Bishop Gate provides 725 en suite rooms and studios, in flats of nine and 10 rooms. Just five minutes from the Hub, it is close to a major supermarket and everything Coventry city centre has to offer. Bishop Gate is perfect for students wanting to be right in the centre of things. It has been built with the student experience at the forefront and features an on-site gym (subject to extra charges), TV room, private dining room, study rooms and social spaces.
Godiva Place
Opened in 2018, Godiva Place consists of a mix of four to 12 en suite bedroom flats, studios and ‘twudios’.
Located just 5 minutes from the University and across the road from a supermarket and local amenities, Godiva Place will be an excellent choice for students wanting to be close to everything Coventry has to offer. With a modern interior and exterior design, these halls feature an open place social space, study areas and cinema room.
Centre for Applied Low-Carbon Propulsion Systems (C-ALPS)
The new £50M low-carbon technology centre sits next door to Coventry University's £7M National Transport Design Centre (NTDC) which opened in May 2017, creating a cluster of transport-focused research and development facilities on the university's Technology Park.

Wrocław Campus
We opened our first foreign university in Poland in 2020. The branch campus welcomed its first students in September, offering UK degrees taught in English. All programmes were selected in collaboration with local businesses and the City of Wrocław.
