What impact has Coventry University had on your life?
When I first joined the University, I was a girl who was rather timid and reluctant to open up and contribute. But, the experimental learning and seminar sessions combined with the help of the tutors, meant I was able to come out of my comfort zone and I grew in confidence. My course had the right mix of both theory and practical application.
I was looking for a university and a course which would give me real global exposure
Coventry University welcomes students from different nationalities and the professors come from different academic and industrial backgrounds. This has helped broaden my communications skills that has been a key part of my job role in pitch my family business to prospective clients.
Where has your degree taken you?
I worked for two years as a Sales and Business Development Analyst in my family Business, Vivid Resources, Master Franchisee of Tea Trials, working to establish and then expand India’s first chain of premium tea cafes.
I’m a foodie and love trying different kinds of food from all over the world. So, when I got the opportunity to collaborate with a brand (Tea Trails) that started offering gourmet teas and food from around the world to Indian customers I was more than happy to be a part of it.
In just one year under my leadership, I developed the business by establishing four franchises in two states across Southern India. One of the outlets we opened was amongst the top three across the country in terms of revenue generated. Coventry University equipped me with all the required knowledge and skills essential to face the global world.
