Black History Month (BHM), taking place each October, is a significant focal point that recognises and celebrates the invaluable ongoing contributions of Black people to British society. It also serves as an opportunity to inspire and empower future generations.
This year’s theme – Saluting our Sisters – will be dedicated to honouring the achievements of Black women who are often the forgotten heroes. Alongside the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) staff network, Coventry University will be delivering several key events exploring this year’s theme, as well as blogs from staff across the group sharing their personal experiences.
Hear from our colleagues on what Black History Month, and this year’s theme – Saluting our Sisters - mean to them. These blogs will be released throughout the month so make sure you return to this page regularly to learn more about some of our incredible Coventry University Group staff.
